I had developed severe waist pains which had become unbearable. I couldn't stand for more than Five minutes. I couldn't sit for long, neither could I lie down to sleep in peace. Kwame Brenya, the talented poet, my friend and brother, Sensed my distress and told me about the Farmer; Kwaku Darko, who is a friend of Akwasi Badu; a saint and Vegetarian. Kwame told me, that Kwaku Darko was not only a Farmer, but also a healer who helps to heal the sick with roots, spices and herbs from his farm at no fee. Since Western medicine had failed me, I decided to travel to the Central with Kwame to visit the Farmer to claim my healing. There, I was going to experience more than just healing.
We arrived in the afternoon. The environment was serene with a lot of vegetations and cold air. "It is a beautiful village". I thought. The smell of the fresh air, the vegetations and the earth mixed with rain water was like home. I felt at home. I saw children running up and down; naked, happy and carefree. We walked on a tiny footpath to the farmer's farm. Kwame called him on phone to tell him that we had arrived. The farmer soon joined us holding a cutlass in his hand. He is young and handsome. He is graduate of the university of Cape Coast but have decided to live an independent life by relocating to his village to Farm. He served Kwame and I fresh coconut from one of his coconut trees on the farm. He asked me about myself and my life. He asked about my interests, talents, diet and business prospects. He also said that I am beautiful, and that I have a beautiful nose. I had never seen nor met a man with so much poise and wisdom...
*He grows and prepares his own food. The only thing he buys is rice and salt.
*He prepares and sells food spices, made from only natural roots and herbs.
*He provides himself with water from his well and borehole from his farm.
*He makes his oils for food and for his skin.
*He is also a vegetarian; who does not eat meat and dairy products.
After serving Kwame and I the most delicious Brodie ampesie with garden egg sauce with mushrooms, I asked him to help me heal my chronic waist pain. He then said i will have to start with a detox medicine which I had to take it on an empty stomach. So Kwame and I decided to spend the night. I took a cold bath in the farm, in the openπ. He offered me a new plain shirt and an underwear so that I wouldn't sleep in my jeans and blouse. He made my bed and I slept comfortably.
Kwame woke me up . The farmer was already awake preparing my medicine. He asked that we go to the farm because there was a place of convinience close by. He told me that I was going to do a lot of shitting and vomiting.π₯. Of course, it's detoxπ€·. When we got to the farm, Kwame began to wash my jeans and blouse, while the farmer made and prayed on my medicine. He made the medicine from only two ingredients; a rare tree root and one unripened orange. Within 10 minutes after taking the medicine, I started vomiting and shitting, like he saidπ₯. Herh!!!
I threw up about three times where I expelled yellowish substances. He said it was sradie(fat) and Amamai(mucus).
I also used the loo about 5 times, expelling loose stools, which he said was Amamai(mucus) built up in my waist. I got so weak and exausted, so he gave me fresh coconut water from the farm to drink because I was feeling so weak. After I had a bath, in the farmπ, we went back to his home. I took a nap while he prepared for me a vegetarian rice dish with vegetables and mushrooms. It was so delicious. He said that, that was only one part of the treatment, and I am to come for kooko treatment if I don't feel better in a few days.
Akwesi Badu was on his way back to Accra after visiting his farm in a neighboring town. He picked up Kwame and I from the Farmer's home and gave us a lift back to our various homes in Accra. I didn't spend a penny on my healing and transportation. π.
